Excellence in Christian Education Since 1976
Woodland Christian High School was established in 1976 by a group of parents in the Cambridge area. They believed that it was their responsibility as parents and people of God to establish a school that in all of its programs would honour God by leading children to a deeper understanding of what it meant to serve God. They believed that the education of their children was their responsibility, not that of the government.
The school opened its doors for the first time in September 1976. For the first number of years, it operated in a number of church facilities in the Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo areas. The move to the present facilities occurred in 1979. Considerable expansion and renovation took place in 2002. Steady growth has allowed Woodland to complete further expansion and renovation in 2014 that has provided large gymnasium facilities, a multi-purpose auditorium, an art complex, and much-needed classroom space.
Woodland currently serves approximately 315 students in Grades nine to twelve.

Principal's Message
John VanPelt. | Principal
Welcome to Woodland Christian High School! For over 45 years Woodland Christian High School has offered an excellent academic program that seeks to integrate learning and the Christian faith. As an alumnus of Woodland and now as principal I have seen how an education that aims to equip our students for lives of Christian faith and service can benefit individuals, church communities, and the broader civic community. I encourage you to take a few minutes to explore this website to become familiar with the diverse curricular and co-curricular programs that we have developed to meet the needs of our students. If you have any questions about our school please feel free to contact me.
