Visual Art

Students learn to “see” more actively, intensely and reflect their vision in creative ways. Because Woodland Christian High School promotes education in a variety of liberal arts, art classes are an important part of each student’s education. At Woodland we promote the education of the whole person and encourage each individual to develop all talents to their full potential for God’s glory and for use as His servants. We are called to be imitators of God, and therefore, we mirror Him as creators. Through art education, awareness and appreciation of God’s awesome creation and the general revelation of His being and His existence are enhanced.  The art curriculum strives for student understanding, discernment, and expressions of service. Instruction in art helps claim all areas of life and learning for God and develops skills that students can use throughout their lives.
