Our students and families represent 14 different Christian denominations and come from 15 area elementary schools. Christian Elementary Schools in our area: Laurentian Hills Christian School,
Kitchener Woodland Christian High School was established in 1976 by a group of parents in the Cambridge area. They believed that it was their responsibility as parents and people of God to establish a school that in all of its programs would honour God by leading children to a deeper understanding of what it meant to serve God. They believed that the education of their children was their responsibility, not that of the government. The school opened it doors for the first time in September, 1976. For the first number of years it operated in a number of church facilities in the Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo areas. The move to the present facilities occurred in 1979. Considerable expansion and renovation took place in 2002. Woodland currently serves approximately 210 students in Grades nine to twelve. [Top] Woodland Christian High School is a
member of the Ontario Alliance of Christian School Societies (OACS)
and of Christian Schools International (CSI).
These organizations provide Woodland with a variety of support
services, including financial advice, curriculum materials and
employee benefit packages. Woodland is also inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education and its graduates receive the Ontario Secondary School diploma.
