A Blueprint for the Future
Woodland Christian High School has always prided itself on providing the best quality secondary education in a Christian environment – one that revolves around God’s Kingdom and celebrates His covenant. Since its inception in 1976, Woodland has received over 847 families into its community and graduated 1055 students – a wonderful testament of God’s love. Parents and students alike tell us that we provide the best education that they could wish for. We continue to be thankful to our Lord for all these blessings.
However these blessings also speak to the continual need and desire to pursue academic excellence that demonstrate our Christian values. It is incumbent on the school, from time to time, to review its mandate, discuss the issues the school faces and effectively manage those challenges – now and in the future.
In the summer of 2010, the Board of Directors undertook a discussion to develop a ‘Strategic Plan’ for Woodland Christian High School (W.C.H.S.) for the next 4 years. This Plan follows on a similar Plan developed in the preceding 4 years in which the school met some major milestones including an additional 53 students and the planned expansion of the facility.
A ‘Blueprint for the Future – 2011-2015’ summarizes the discussions that were held with over 80 parents, teachers and students. The strategic planning process set out to examine our existing strengths, weaknesses, potential threats and the many opportunities we have before us. It also re-examine the existing mission and vision for the school, established formal high level goals, set out tangible strategies or actions to reach these goals and explored how we might measure our success in meeting our targets.
If you would like a copy of our current strategic plan please contact the school directly.
